I’m so glad you’re here!
I have always been a creative person. Painting, drawing, and interior design have been a passion of mine from a very young age. So when my husband bought me my first camera in 2008, it opened up a whole new world of creativity for me.
For example, my parents have recently moved from the home where I spent most of my childhood. While prepping the home from the market, my father removed the curtains in my room. Of course, he didn’t expect to see floral paintings behind the curtains I had done in high school.
As a Mom, I always wanted to capture beautiful images of my children. So I began taking soft classes online and learning to master the art. I started having friends and family asking me to take their pictures and then passing my name on to acquaintances. As a result, I established my photography business in 2013, where I upgraded my photography education and technology.
While working as a part-time photographer, I worked for a short period in real estate, staging homes for sale. As fun as it was to rearrange furniture and create beautiful living spaces, I wanted more control of my life and schedule.
My husband, Kevin and I have been married since 2006 .We have three beautiful children together ( Alyssa, 15, Dylan, 13, Tyler, 9) and two adorable little dogs we rescued at the local shelter (Millie, a huskie mix and Erney, a Coton De Tulear). Spending time with my family is always my top priority, so being able to schedule your family session around games, practices, and family outings is a significant plus in my world!
Growing up, I had a large family, meaning chaos was normal. I was the third oldest of seven children. As one of the oldest, we always helped out with the younger ones. Babysitting, helping the each other get ready for church on Sunday, and trading off making dinners, lunches, and such were just part of having a big family.
Naturally, working with kids has always been fun for me. As a teenager, I worked with kids as a youth counselor at camps and volunteered at the local centers.
The most important thing to me while photographing your family, child or wedding is making you feel comfortable. I love what I do and am passionate about capturing the love and emotions created by having a little fun. My true-to-life colors and natural light photography sets me aside from the trending styles. Creating photos that stand the test of time for years to come is so important. Trends come and go; however, timeless photographs will always be beautiful!
