Little Corin turned one in February! I feel like it was just yesterday I was taking his newborn photos in his home. Cuddling him up to his sweet big brother and watching all the sweetness between the two of them. His momma asked me to do a cake smash session for him. The theme was fishing. I know that he will be doing a lot of fishing as Daddy’s fishing buddy in the future!
After his cake smash, we cleaned him all up and he got to play with balloons! They turned out REEL-Y cute (Pun intended) ! Check out some of sweet Corin and how much he enjoyed his cake!!
Last week, my lovely sister in law’s threw a beautiful Bridal shower for my husband’s little sister, Danielle. Yes, she will always be called the “little sister” because she is the baby in the family. Also , yes, she will always be in my eyes the little girl I met 16 years ago in November. We took her out for her birthday to play put put . I’m assuming Kevin needed approval from his 8 year old sister and since we are still together and going strong, she must have approved. 😉
At the shower, every attention to detailed shined . Each centerpiece was arranged with beautiful hand painted teal wine bottles and then topped with dark and light pink carnations. The games kept everyone laughing and talking. Perfect way to get to know all the relatives you just met by the way. The cake consisted of yummy donuts layered and stacked then adorned with pink roses, an arrangement made for a queen. I was so happy to be able to document all of it.
If your still reading this, scroll down to see my most laughable time at this shower. Poor kid. LOL
When Ashley signed up for one of my mini sessions, I did not expect that I would have 4 little models on my hands. I knew from the minute they stepped out of that minivan that they were going to be great! And they were, they were.
This sweet sisterly session was shot in Bristoe, Virginia on a gorgeous August day. We started the session with the youngest. She is was turning one at the end of the month so we made sure to get a bunch of individual shots of her sweet little details. From her gorgeous blue eyes to her sweet little feet.
Then we moved on with individuals of all these gorgeous girlies and some group pictures. I just love how you can see how much they love each other. From the oldest girl holding her sister to keep her happy. To the middle ones loving on the youngest. So sweet! Just precious!
We had so much fun. Taking mini breaks in between locations was definatly a great idea. They kept their spirits up and were so good for me. Also, I’m pretty sure that they got that milkshake their mom said they could have after the session.
When Lauren was looking for a Maternity photographer I couldn’t help but jump at the chance. Lauren and I have known each other since we were little and I was so excited to catch up with her, meet her amazing husband Mario, and see her adorable belly.
One of my favorite locations is the Manassas Battlefields by the Stone bridge. We arrived at the battlefields and I was pleasantly surprised. Lauren’s details were of perfection. From her husband’s bowtie and hat to her gorgeous gown and sash. Everything coordinated and in sync with her look. I always love when clients really go all out with their prep before the session, it really makes for great photos and gives me a better understanding on what look they are trying to achieve.
Lauren and Mario were amazing clients. Everything I asked them to do, they gladly did. Even if it was jumping on top of a huge fallen tree to get that Vogue pose.
I can’t wait until I get to their new little additional in the hospital in January.
The Silva wedding was such a blast. Not only did I get to shoot at beautiful locations, I got to shoot with my sister Kati. She has had a lot of experience with wedding photography and I knew that we would be a great team to capture Mark and Michelle’s big day.
Thursday I drove to Maryland to pick up my sweet sister. We loved catching up and talking about what pictures are “must have’s” for their wedding.
Friday morning, we made our way down to King George. It was such a gorgeous day. The decorations were beautiful and so was the couple. Mark and Michelle said their, “I Do’s” right in Marks parent’s back yard. A perfect location to share their love with family and friends.
Saturday, Kati and I made our way to Grey Horse Vineyards in Warrenton, VA. The drive to the winery was absolutely beautiful. We were so pumped seeing at the colorful fall scenery. The Winery owners were very helpful with getting the shots that we desired before Mark and Michelle arrived for their Bride and Groom session.
Here are a few little shots from their wedding…
I was so excited Sunday to bring my daughter with me to help with a family session. To be honest, I was a little worried that she may end up a little distracting. But, to my surprise, she was extremely helpful. She caught on with seeing the perfect light and learned how to use my reflector. She helped get a baby to smile by using a trash bag and crinkling it up( I never would have thought of that). Alyssa worked hard and earned her first paycheck from yours truly.
Sarah and Jared could not have been easier to work with. With 2 little kiddies we made sure that we took mini breaks between each location. Allowing the kids to get their wiggles out or a quick snack. 😉 Those beautiful natural smiles say it all!
” A child with a smile will go the extra mile”
Here are a few sneak peaks from Sunday’s session.
